This top honor is the culmination of our unwavering commitment to quality, authenticity and the rich heritage that defines Elettra.


The category in which we were awarded is Health Claim. According to the European Union and regulation 432/2012, a health claim is any statement about the relationship between food and health. The Commission approves different health claims provided they are based on scientific evidence and are easily understood by consumers. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is responsible for evaluating the scientific evidence that supports health claims.


LIOOC is the most recognizable European competition in the olive oil industry, where olive oils from around the world are tested by some of the most demanding experts in the industry. Winning the platinum award in such a competition reinforces and highlights that Elettra is truly one of the world's leading health olive oils.
