We are deeply proud to announce that our farm in Kleisoura, Messinia, is now an official member of the international Slow Food network —a global community that unites producers, scientists, and citizens across more than 160 countries, with a shared goal: to promote a food system that is Good, Clean and Fair for all.
What This Alliance Means
Elettra’s inclusion in Slow Food International is not just a recognition —it is the affirmation of a way of life. We cultivate with respect for biodiversity, without chemical fertilizers, through gentle agricultural practices that protect the soil, water, and local ecosystems. At the same time, we actively contribute to the revival of our ancestral village, Kleisoura, through the people who care for its land.
Every olive tree we nurture, every drop of our high-phenolic Elettra EVOO, now belongs to a global movement that defends flavor, tradition, and sustainability.
Why Slow Food
The Slow Food movement was born in Italy in the 1980s as a response to the loss of authenticity, taste, and connection between people and nature.
